ALISON BRONSON, LCSW
Alison Bronson is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about using evidence-based treatments in her therapeutic work with adolescents and adults. Alison completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, where she studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other “third wave” therapies including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Habit Reversal Training (HRT), mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Since completing her training, Alison has expanded her knowledge of these treatments through her clinical practice and attendance of national trainings.
Alison has past experience working in private practice, college counseling, and community mental health settings treating a wide range of presentations including anxiety, mood, obsessive compulsive, trauma and other stressor-related disorders. Alison is passionate about using evidence-based therapies in conjunction with the therapeutic relationship to create a space where the client can achieve their goals. Her approach to building the therapeutic rapport values empathy, humor and openness.
